Tangling with the idea of a safe, basic and super amazing game SWEEPING the game awards.

Can't even say who SHOULD have taken it.

Just feel like there wasn't something that I would even rate a 10/10 on the list save balatro. Even then, dunno if I'd call it my GOTY.

Maybe it's that I see so much representation for late 2024 when there is any indie rep at all and that feels...planned. Like I'm supposed to be stoked that they are even giving Balatro a seat.

I guess my only true wish is that they dug deeper into an amazing year. Even if I didn't expect them to.

I assume Okami was one. Some reveals are very obvious next steps for a given studio. Of course CDPR are going to make Witcher 4. But it always seemed so unlikely that Okami would return, so it was truly surprising.

Intergalactic was surprising because it wasn't another TLOU remaster lol

There were like 4 or 5 big holy shit reveals during this show. Okami, Onimusha, Intergalactic, RGG Studios' new game, and Witcher 4 were crazy. I know basically all of those are 3-4 years off minimum, but still cool.
