As far as I know when someone has been pardoned they've been pardoned and they cannot retry them that's in the Constitution too I believe. At least it's a law of the land that you cannot subject the person to double jeopardy.

If ever there was a Supreme Court that would undo a pardon, it’s this one - but I take your point. I meant more broadly though that I thought their immunity decision protects the president but not necessarily whatever “illegal act” they’ve done.
