Please consider lobbying your government to put stricter laws in place to stop disinformation. For example Rebel News is brainwashing Canadians and Americans. You should ban it to help Canada but as a side effect it will also help America. See the video on how Rebel News fabricates stuff:

This initiative will reduce the influence of the American billionaires in the Canadian media landscape, and maybe get rid of some of the malignant outlets. The transparency and quality of journalism must be paramount in the organization.

I really believe there is an opportunity here to create a national truth teller in the CBC. Fund it properly. Make sure it has the resources to do real investigative journalism and complete independence. Monitor it by a joint parliamentary committee to stop the frivolous complaints of favouritism.

And I think it would be a good thing to get like-minded nations with national broadcasters, GB, France, Germany et al, to follow this lead, in essence, creating a global network of truth tellers. It would be a great weapon against election interference and propaganda campaigns.

Yes, we need someone inside to grab the ball and run with it. We can also bomb the PMO with the idea. Truth is powerful. It will be important to involve all parties in the parliamentary committee to oversee the creation and equally important be transparent at all phases.
