From what I remember its like if you RT too much or something like that, it *could* get you shadowbanned because it can be perceived as “spam”- Though TBF people get shadowbanned a lot (including me) for like the dumbest reasons so 😭 yeah

The reposting some people are doing is out of hand though. I had to mute one of the amazing artists I follow because my feed would just be 30 of their reposts in a row every day multiple times ov o;; if only I could mute self-reposts from my main feed.

Get into the habit! Plus another added benefit is that unlike Twitter who bombards that notif box with notifications whenever someone reshares that post, Bluesky doesnt do that so even if you do reshare you wont get notifs whenever someone reshares that same post! 👍

Heres my explanation:

TLDR: On Bluesky you have the freedom to reshare as much as you want, no restrictions or whatnot. On Twitter / X you *could* get shadowbanned for say like Retweeting a lot in a quick amount of time, because the dumb algo could perceive it as “spam”

Also this ones for artists: Do NOT be afraid to regularly reshare / repost your old work, again you don't have to worry about shadowbans on Bluesky since an algorithm doesn't really exist on here 👍

I regularly reshare my art posts as a way to bump them up after Resharing stuff, it works out great!
