Season one seemed more a proper satire and critique of class inequality. I thought it shared space with 'triangle of sadness.' Season two was more interpersonal (read: soap opera), and didn't really do it for me. that was more just 'sad rich people.'
Almost literally the reason I told my buddy why I can't get in to Yellowstone. Maybe if it was about rich people getting comeuppance I could get behind it, but rich people acting like being rich is a burden and making life hard for non rich is not interesting to me
Miserable rich people are a feature not a bug here… they are part of the design of the show. It’s an anthology. I agree the formula is starting to get a tad stale but Mike White is so great at character development and it’s frickin PARKER POSEY✅✅✅. I’m in.
