First, double jeopardy only applies if you have been tried. Adams has not. And the state charges can be different from the federal ones. Bottom line is that the Feds cannot interfere in a state prosecution, no matter what Gym Jordan thinks.

Adams was given serious kompromat on Trump.

Adams knew it would drive Trump to pardon him to keep it secret.

Adams had to get Trump's attention.

There needed to be a cover story, thus Adams's weird presser.

Trump pardoned Blagoyavich = trial balloon. Adams is next.
