@jeffvandermeer.bsky.social I finished Authority a few days ago and now I can't stop dropping the word "terroir" into casual conversation. I have fewer friends now, but I did enjoy the book immensely.

I finished it today (my second time reading) and it's amazing how that book builds anticipation and dread piece by piece. I saw that last time I read the trilogy I gave Annihilation 5 stars and Authority 4, but actually Authority is the better book IMO
Grab a few Francophones, go for locally sourced snacks, or as we call them, Produits du Terroir. Might help refilling the friend roster, and hey, snacks!
