Got some Stretchsense studio gloves in the mail today since I've been trying to get into motion capture. Honestly, pretty disappointed and I'll be returning them. The thumb tracking is extremely inaccurate. Also there is a global splay on the fingers which heavily limits a lot of posing. More below: - ThreadSky

used to work on Leap tracking and nobody believed me when I'd tell them gloves are probably so much more difficult to calibrate, you *have* to know the joint lengths and account for them with sensor density or it falls apart fast. So many gestures need accurate fingertip positions.

I agree and found it strange that there was no place to put in hand measurements. Most sensor tracking that I've looked into use that to have more accurate tracking. The calibration process itself seemed very inconsistent and slight variations of the calibration poses gave wildly different results.

Yeah, I haven't seen very many reviews either. The only other review I saw also mentioned that the thumb tracking was off.
Hopefully I'll be able to try a different hand tracking solution in the future.

I've done a dozen calibrations btw and they all seem to be inaccurate in different ways.
The gloves themselves aren't very comfortable either. The thumb in particular has a pretty bad seam in the inside that hurts my thumb and leaves a red mark after a few minutes of use.
