Had the same vaccines managed to avoid most of those too... However... I did get pertussis *3* times anyway. I love vaccines but they aren't perfect. Still far better to get them than not.

Nothing is ever 100% effective. But even in scenarios where you contract an illness, they do tend to make it less intense.

Yup :/ Many years later I got the vaccine as several friends of mine had become new parents and I wanted to make sure their babies won't get pertussis (because it can be deadly for infants)

I got an MMR booster today at 63. The recommendation stated born after 1957 and vaccinated prior to 1968, that’s me.

I’m not expecting to get measles. . . . or autism.

Chickenpox too. They now have vaccines for shingles which is an extremely painful and recurring condition.

My son had a severe vaccine reaction when he was an infant so his pediatrician simply split his vaccines in half giving them a few weeks apart. Problem solved.

I did. I got whooping cough from a bad batch of the vaccine that went around at the time. 3 nasty weeks later I cured it within 24 hours with massive doses of vitamin D.
