Long time ago, I toured coal country in a play abt the labor organizer Mother Jones- in the middle of a months long coal strike. Mine owners/state law-enforcement and strikers were shooting at each other every night after the sun went down.

This area and its people have their issues, but coal miners and their families have been getting shafted by GOP capital since the beginning of time.
