I liked how Star Trek treated spirituality. I don't think the show ever explains if Stovokor is real or not. Maybe it's like that one episode of Rick and Morty and collective cultural ideas can create a real afterlife...

I had a dream once that I died and the Grim Reaper was explaining to me that there was no afterlife but my dying brain was quickly dumping all the DMT it has which is putting me into a dream that will feel eternal to me, so I do get an afterlife if I can convince myself it's real.
You know sometimes I dream about a place that looks exactly like the backrooms and there are people who are ALWAYS there. Maybe they're people who died and their last dream was the backrooms.
They did hint that the Klingon heart, the idea of spiritually joined mates, was real with Worf and Dax, and I think a few episodes have hinted at Stovokor being real as well. The thing is, a lot of it was "real" but in ways that are actually explained by the science in Star Trek.
