Ethan Crumbley's parents were convicted of manslaughter because they didn't lock up a handgun they bought for their troubled 14-year-old. Anyone who baselessly refuses to vaccinate a child who later dies of that disease should be prosecuted for child endangerment and neglect at the least.

This year an unvaccinated child died in Germany from diphtheria. My father almost died from it, 80 years ago. Now he is 90 and still has the sign of the operation visible on his throat. Why are people are sacrificing their kids for preventable diseases? My father has now all vaccinations available.

If it's confirmed it was a kid whose parents just didn't want to, yeah. I haven't gone searching, but haven't seen anything on this yet.

I pump the brakes only as a reminder there are people who cannot take the vaccination, and that isn't neglect.

Both families were Mennonites. Texas allows religious exemptions. But they aren’t necessarily against vaccines. They leave it up to the individual members.
