Ever tried Sky Map or Star Walk 2? You can just point at the sky with your phone and it will tell you what you're looking at, pretty neat. :)

I haven't and I keep meaning to try one of the apps. I can usually identify a few of the more common planets, but need to get better at it. On a truely dark night (new moon) once the lights in our house are off, we have a great view of the Milky Way in all its glory.
