Both. You're not allowed to modify the spoiler in any way (this was true for the Gen 6 cup car as well), coming from a single-source supplier. Modifying the spoiler can also give you an unfair advantage to gain aerodynamic speed.
How long are they going to put up with James Small? All the bad race calls really drove Truex down the last 3 or so years, now this is the way Briscoe starts his tenure there? Was hoping he'd have a new crew chief or someone like Ratcliff for a fresh start.

And I don't know why teams cheat to get the pole for the Daytona 500. Pole doesn't mean jack shit. It's just a photo op at the end of the day.
