I marched for weeks on end in support of unions here in Wisconsin. It’s taken us 15 years to swing back to the way it was before these draconian Scott Walker policies ruined everything for working people.

3. Trump engaged in pretextual legalism, claiming that there is a "national security" implication of allowing unions to collect dues. Did not wait for courts to decide if his order was legal.
4. Good chance that DOGE facilitated this. One more sign that they are an anti-worker political project.

Beyond failing to actually name the emergency, a requirement under the law, he also failed to provide a written justification as to why the unions impede performance consistent with execution of national security functions. I imagine, that’s difficult to prove given they’ve been around 70 years
