Only 45% of those surveyed said they have confidence in the safety and effectiveness of vaccines, and only 42% said they have confidence federal health agencies to respond to infectious disease outbreaks, like bird flu and measles.

This was a thing in 2020 where people said they wouldn’t trust Trump on the vaccines and he used it to paint the left as anti-vaxx. Then it came out that he meddled in the vaccine like what people were afraid of.

yes, the nonspecific poll question conflates two questions: Democrats may have general confidence in medical science and institutions but no confidence with those RFK jr has put in power now. Republicans may doubt science but like RFK's hacks. Comparing before and after Trump is apples/oranges.
