I work at an industrial manufacturing company, we make power generation equipment for mining, power gen, and related industries. Everything we make is steel, and our supply chain is worldwide. It could cripple us
I don't know why I like it. I like the whole thing. buying materials, transporting them, warehousing them, converting them into things, shipping them out.
We import steel and components made of steel, fabricate tanks, bases and and assemble parts into hydraulic power units and once complete export those to lots of different countries including the US.
Has your company said anything to you guys about the tariffs?
My work has been sending us emails weekly and we received a special one yesterday about how to talk to our members and steps we can take as employees to help us get through this.
Not yet, we are owned by an American firm, and our customers arrange their own freight and pay for customs and might be saying screw it. Communication isn’t one of my companies strong points
