I'm writing this on a 19 year-old laptop that I pulled out of my pile to see if this new LINUX OS would work right-out of the box. It did. I just had to charge the battery and set the time.

Over the years, I have tried just about every mainline distribution of LINUX and become frustrated. The biggest problem is the size, HUGE, in most cases and they required you to install them on a hard drive, so you end-up overwriting your Windows, and then get pissed.
If you have a 64 bit CPU, S15pup64 already installed on a USB memory stick can be purchased on Ebay for $18.
The project entails not only having a bootable LINUX OS, but some useful software, in this case the KdenLive video editing program, Gimp (The linux Photoshop equivalent) and a websserver to see how your work looks like to the World. TBC

This can save you some money and will get you a bootable CD or DVD.
