People are going to call an Israeli Jew speaking about his own country a self hating antisemite and they'll sound more ridiculous than the people last year who pretended Glazer was denouncing his Jewishness.

I have heard Israelis say they will live side by side in peace explicitly, but which Palestinians have said that out loud? Why do we assume they'll stop terrorism if Israel leaves Gaza and the WB. Pals have been initiating violence since the 1920s. Israel DID leave Gaza totally. We got Oct 7.
You abandoned an enclave of some 30 thousand because the necessary security to maintain such an enclave was proving impossible to sustain, while still maintaining total control of its borders. That you present this as a gift is in and of itself gross, but also so very typical.
The entire strategy was to diplomatically isolate Palestine while slowly chipping away at the territory. A small abandoned enclave in the heart of Gaza doesn't change that.
To the extent that this state of affairs may end up collapsing it is because Israel looks as though it will push its collaborator regimes far further than they can afford to be.
And bc "that's ridiculous" is not an argument: I think we should allow that there are reasons a person would criticize their own government, their own country, their own society, the things that impact their own lives that aren't hatred of one's self or one's people. I think it's limiting to refuse.
