Every report from LA is like "small and mostly peaceful protests continued through the evening and into the next day" and yet to here the administration and some commentators describe it it's like...mass violence on a scale we've never seen before.

Some are even pushing AI generating content. And most major news outlets are painting this picture that there are riots everywhere and 1/4 of LA is up in flames. They're trying to sell this BS that it's an out-of-control warzone when the protests are mostly limited to downtown LA.

I’m not surprised in that this happens all the time but am a little surprised that more people aren’t describing or are ignoring this dynamic given the administration’s escalatory crackdown?
I think it's because not enough people are connecting the dots about why this is happening. I really mean the why of the whys. It's not just Trump flexing.
It IS Trump flexing, but for a reason. He wants the military to protect ICE while they make raids. That's the heart of it, right there.
