Tried to get picture yesterday of the Potions all out at once, btw, but there's way more offscreen. Still a lot out today though, honestly. And an adult currently chomping on the cuttlebone.

The colony was overrun by fungus gnats so unfortunately my zebras, powder blues, and wild caught p. spinicornis all had to go to that big fridge in the sky 😔
Oh no, that’s awful. I’m using mosqutio bits to try and deal with gnats, have you ever tried those? A lot of folks tell me they work wonders, maybe you can try that in the future. I don’t think I could handle wiping my whole colony, it would make me so sad.
Oh also these are the leaves I gathered the other day to try out. Pin oak leaves I think. Grabbed some lichen too, and a couple acorn caps. Rinsed off and baked briefly (15 minutes). Ahaha I'm still nervous about using it though, don't want my bugs catching some horrid isopod disease or something.
Well I chased a fungus gnat out of the brand new enclosure just now. I don't know how it got in, I was so careful. Was really hoping they could start fresh. But maybe that was naive of me. After all, gnats can be present even in bagged potting soil from the store.
Replaced the sticky traps inside my enclosure lids this morning (outdoors so I didn't have a cloud of bugs in my room again.) Also removed the zuccini slice from my young Potions because that thing was getting gross. Had to shake a lot of isopods off the slice, they are so stubborn.
Guys I swear I'm doing it for good reason!! The zuccini is stinky and is going to mold like crazy before you can finish it! Definitely will only give them tiny chunks of zuccini/cucumber in the future, they (or my current springtail populace) can't eat a whole slice in time.
