We will need to wait for the final reveal, that illustration is an educated guess from C/D based on the prototypes rolling around here in the Midwest.

I’d assume it would ape the Ford-styling from the new Forester, though.

When your entire brand is being the Anti-SUV, definitely the thing to do is to make a flagship product bigger and heavier and more SUV-like. Granted safety regs and other issues contribute to bloat but I wish they’d look to their roots…

I wonder if the Subaru strategy is to shove the Impreza Wagon into the space that was for the Legacy and Outback? Gotta assume the Legacy will go away soon.

I had an early Outback. It was woefully underpowered, but it was a wagon and held a lot of stuff. It did well in New England winters. It also had weird electrical issues and needed a replacement transmission. I traded it after that.

However, I wouldn't give a second glance to the new one.

What’s funny about Subaru these days is that I feel like they could “fix” a lot of them by doing what Mazda did; Sticking the RAV4 hybrid powertrain underneath it!
