It's just another inconsistency that makes the whole process kind of stupid.
I wish the HoF or MLB would have made some sort of ruling on this so it wasn't a judgment call for the individual voters every year.
Given that you had space on the ballot for 2 more players, I'm curious as to why you left him off this year if you foresee adding him later.
Felix was closer, six top-8 Cy finishes (won once), 2 ERA titles.
Abreu, look at every year, good OPS, again, not one top-10 MVP finish.
Felix (& Santana) were a generation ahead of their time. Not 100% apples to apples comparison but their career is DeGrom esqe
