Let's say we shut the Government down. When would it reopen? 1 mo, 3 mos, 6 mos, 1 year? Who could force them to reopen it? Republicans are in the majority. No Government means they could allocate money to where they only want it. Do you think they'd fund the Courts? Seriously, think about it.

I suspect they think the laid-off government workers will fill the jobs of tglhe recently deported, but it doesn't work that way.
