Chickadees can be very tame, especially ones in places where they are accustomed to bird feeders and people. This is a well-known place for hand-feeding near where I live. Some nuthatches even join in.
A redpoll ever-so-briefly landed on my hand too, most likely out of curiosity of what the chickadees were doing. It didn’t nab any food though – but brings the official total number of species that have landed on my hand to seven.
