Just a thought, I’ve seen so many marathon photos w/water bottles or cups littering the streets. Why do they have the presence of mind to provide water but not well placed trash cans? Surely it must be more costly to clean up w/out them. So why do humans never think things thru & plan accordingly?
They have tens of people handing out cups as runners run by. To expect each runner to adjust their course and possibly wait in line for a trash can would throw off many of their races. It only takes a few minutes of pickup to clean it up. They don’t just leave the cups on the ground and go home.
They probably did, but nobody is going to stop or slow down to throw away a cup.
The cups are paper. I assume they have someone to pick them up but even if they didn't an afternoon of traffic would reduce them to harmless pulp. If they were plastic Silo cups I'd agree.
My point was, if you can have people handing out water that they have to change course or slow down to grab, you can have people further up holding trash bags even in the
middle of streets to throw there cups in & save the time& expense & remove the injury hazard in the process.
I went to the Detroit Free Press marathon one time and they were handing out yogurt at the hydration tables. You know the ones you put in your kids lunch. It was a mess of crushed plastic containers by the end. I know what you mean but trust me when I say it's a ton better.
In all the marathons I've been to people typically grab the water and dump it within 5 feet. Like the guys grabbing water at the front/start of the table drop the cup before the end of the table. The hydration tables run about 50 feet so most of these cups are where the tables would be. Make sense?
PP forces a conservative member’s resignation which forces another election, so PP can stay in Parliament. If I lived in this riding, I’d write in the former member. PP is an arrogant SOB, doesn’t live in the riding and deserves to be unemployed.
Pierre Poili-whatever lost his Parliamentary seat in the election, so now some pansy from a super Conservative district in Alberta is giving up his seat so Pierre can have it.
Fascists and rapists have one thing in common- neither understand "no".
To boot, Poilievre went on a podcast with J0rD@N P3T3Rs0n to say that his views haven't changed since his youth. As a university student PP wrote an essay saying that politics shouldn't be a career & he would promote 2 term limits. A term is 4 years max. PP has been there for over 21 now. Hypocrite!
Thanks, Jeff. I don't see PP showing any significant knowledge or interest in the international stage, and frankly, I can't imagine him om it. He's entirely at best a domestic idiot, and so are the CON$ MP's.
