It’s funny because GoG sort of figured out they can’t directly beat steam but they can offer something distinct & and make a sustainable niche for themselves.
Thought Prime Gaming would already fit that purpose, but then it only distribute "free" games temporarily through subscription not sell from what I know
IMO they should have comitted harder to the twitch app. I liked that one. I think it was a good idea, and it was honesltly more convienent to watch twitch streams that way than my web browser even if I'm already on my pc
They couldn't even learn from Discords mistakes when Discord (at the time) had so much more goodwill and consistent eyes on it. All these companies keep trying to complete with steam without thinking of *why* people stick by Valve
