The Trump admin says it took 177 Venezuelans detained at Gitmo and sent them to Honduras, where Venezuela will pick them up and take them back.

This raises the obvious question of why the hell the US needed to send these people to Gitmo in the first place, at massive cost to the US taxpayer.
