Imagine being a person who loves community and humanity, and being forced to exist in a society where you're constantly programmed for numbness, where everything is designed to make profit AT ALL COSTS. AT ALL COSTS. A society where there is no dignity in life, let alone in honest labour.

They take away our loved ones - lock them up in crowded prisons, then they kill every single attempt to organise and build community. The only community and organisation they allow are ones that are formed with the sole purpose of making profit, colonisation, imperialism, militarism, and genocide.

It hurts to exist in this capitalist world when you're the kinda person who cares deeply for other humans, and your community. I know for a fact that I owe no allegiance to any country, nor will I ever pick up a gun to fight for a flag, an anthem, or some stupid and absurd idea of man-made borders.

If ever I fight, it will be for the humans that I love, and for the communities we have built. And I have always believed that the ONLY fight I need to fight, is the white supremacy and capitalism that intends to kill me (and so many other BIPOC), every single day.

Being depressed by this capitalist system is normal, but it is also important to channel all that anger, frustration, and pain into something that can help. And organising, building community, and helping one another are some important ways to alleviate the pain and also crawl out of our depression.
