Of course, I think there is a lot of undue resentment against the power mothers have, unconsciously. Even children understand it intuitively, it's why it's fairly common for children to verbally attack another child's mother so as to antagonize or bully.
Ah the patriarchy is a global epidemic; this resentment for the feminine knows no bounds. I also think the patriarchy feeds into toxic masculine traits; which also can be found globally as well.
Kids can and will be cruel; it's part of their exploration of the self, good and ill. We must be there to guide them away from behaviors that are adversarial to themselves and their peers so they can carry the torch of humanity forward unimpeded by generational prejudice.
It's a very fucked up situation, ye. But we're climbing out of the cesspit; sometimes we slide back, sometimes we find good hand holds. Gotta keep pressing forward, for the sake of our future. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
