Except our munitions are old and creeky. Russian military might has been depleted by invading Ukraine. China, on the other hand, has invested time, money and technology in building up their military capabilities and, let’s face it, they have the man power. I call bullshit on that report.
all these reports are pretty dodgy at the best of times. literally everyone expected Russia to defeat Ukraine in days and yet 3 years later they still haven't and never will. Their equipment is garbage, their soldiers poorly trained and their command structures 50 years out of date.
We know from the past three years in Ukraine that this assessment is incredibly wrong. China is second behind the US and Russia has been reduced to the status of a local power that is much weaker than India.
But it’s all built on debt. China has a much higher capacity to build weapons, for a much lower price. Look at their ship building industry, its immense
yeah but look at what they build. Buildings and roads that collapse, ships that sink or fail.
when did you last buy a product from china and admire its technology, build quality and original design. Even their cars are copies of western designs.
But you are aware that almost everything comes from china nowadays, are you? They now also build quite sophisticated jets, drones, missiles, and they have a lot of poor indoctrinated people willing to fight.
temu and shein maybe & a lot at places like Walmart but more expensive items like cars and higher price electronics don't. Their 'jets' are untested in combat against western fighters as are their missiles. We used to say the same about russian fighters and missiles only to find they are quite poor.
a tad out of date. Russia's military has been exposed as third rate or worse. so the other analyses are probably just as bad. And remember, America hasn't won a war since WW2 and even then it was only part of an alliance.
I believe that list includes nukes, which are pretty much off the table in any sort of war. Otherwise #2 Russia would have wiped the floor with #20 Ukraine already.
no. it would take years to imbue their soldiers with the ability to think critically. Their military’s framework is drastically different and aggressively centralized (ie 1 officer attempting to control 450 people at once)

One of the components mentioned is “large manpower” - the same manpower they are currently showing the nation they absolutely will discard when they are done with service. That one might be on shaky ground.

What is their remaining "power" based on? Nukes?
If it is, most nuclear powers have enough nuclear weapons to knock the whole world back to the dark ages alone.
Soldiers, the ability to manufacture weapons quickly, and economic powers are what matter today.

But it's possible these fact check/take downs (Canada, EU, China) may be exactly what we need right now.
Sadly, we will all have to go along for the not so fun ride.

focus isn’t on the average recruit, it’s about the competencies of leaders at the lowest level like team leaders/squad leaders/platoon leaders, etc.
watch the video, especially if you’ve never been in the military.
