Just trying out ChatGPT 4.5, and out of nowhere it started making "jokes" about the text I was discussing with it, putting the words "explicit" and "explicitly", end with:

Deepseek is much, much funnier, and willing to push the boundaries of taste much further than the rather prim GPT. It's like someone blew bong smoke under Jerry Sadowitz's door for a few hours.
I noticed unsolicited jokes, and a tendency to end posts with a question that tries to advance the conversation. I assume it's all due to prompting, not anything emergent.
I take this to mean the algorithm is mirroring the tone of a snarky and sarcastic internet troll. Getting our own obnoxious bullshit thrown back in our faces is an opportunity for self-reflection, at least.
AI is getting scary good. In 4.5's current form, you can type "make an application using python that generates memes to run on windows 11" and it'll serve you up a fresh app. of course, there may need to be some debugging here and there, but it does that now too.. so ...
I've been discussing a framework paper I've been working on with it, and it's clearly got a much deeper depth of knowledge, or is at least better at making more abstract connections than 4o.
This is why I sometimes write like a lunatic online. I love traumatizing the Ai by having it scrape my data explicitly for this explicit reason.
Imagine how explicity bad it is as it's learned writing and reading from Google translation of Russian bot text, and ignorance jibber jabber in general.
