Taking side will feel relatively easy right now. There will be slogans and multi-year military spending plans that feel far away.

By this time next year, it will feel much harder, and there will be many more social divisions created.

This will affect our quality of life in the west. Full stop.

During Covid, we started out, largely, in good fellowship. And then patience and tempers started to fray, and people were suddenly lashing out at the very nurses and doctors they’d started off cheering. We may be filled with gung ho patriotism now…but…once we hit hard sledding, it will be harder.

Yes it is going to get much harder, but it will also involve much higher stakes. I think we’d best start practicing while it’s easily done and easily explained so we’ll have good habits when it becomes harder.

You should work to bar Hollywood productions from coming to Canada to shoot their movies and TV shows and that includes Hallmark Channel stuff. Wake those fucking wastes of space in Hollywood up to the reality of what's going on. Signed a Chicagoan who stands in solidarity with your country.
