I don't think the Trump team has thought this through. If Trump wants to be able to declare martial law or deploy the National Guard, these are the people whose retirement benefits they are going to do away with. How hard will soldiers work towards orders that will likely be illegal anyway.
The DOGE bros can only *recommend* plans for Congress to try to implement through legislation. May be challenging given the razor-thin GOP majority in the HR. FFS, they are allegedly working in “jobs” and a “department” that don’t exist in the government.
You mean the conservative majority Congress? The conservative majority Congress that will debase themselves in any way they can to appease their God-Emperor?
TRUMP ONLY WON BECAUSE HE IS WHITE.imm8grants voted him in and he's deporting them.cant feel sorry when American people made a huge mistake, and are so racist, immigrants were lied to.America was good to them, and this is how America is thanked??
This claim is false. There is no credible evidence to support this assertion. In fact, both Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have consistently demonstrated a commitment to supporting veterans and their healthcare.
Is it possible to exchange a MAGA-"refrigerator" for bipartisan "smart phone"? Confederate relations with a single currency are useful, IMHO, for th North American unification of th labor & capital markets for th purpose of effective competition with China.
The Swiss Confederation began as a treaty confederation, and in the course of strengthening trust, developing political and socio-economic ties, it actually developed into a constitutional federation!😅
US government spending was 34.4 (Germany 48.4!)% of GDP/23. Is the US willing to increase government spending by additional taxation of the rich class and corporate surplus value to pay off the national debt, implementation of reindustrialization & carry out structural reforms?
But! The Argentine variant of the implementation of structural reforms at the expense of the population in the US is complicated, IMHO, due to the high level of armament of the civilian population!😆
If the veterans voted for Trump then this is what they wanted. I hope the find out how stupid they were. Trump and musk could not give a shit about normal Americans.
The argument is that they’re going to attempt to circumvent a 1974 law called The Impoundment Control Act, by making an end-run around the middle, and attempting to get the issue before 45’s SCOTUS puppets.
This is the same law 45 was first Impeached for with regard to Ukraine appropriations.
We're going to repeal that money, and replace it with a beautiful plan that's better than money. It'll be so terrific, and the veterans will all say, "Thank you, sir! We didn't believe it could be so beautiful." And we're going to give that money to Elon.
We the people won’t even get that. All the “efficiency savings” will go directly into the pockets of the oligarchy, by way of tax cuts for the rich and famous.
They need to be required to tour each and every cut they are requesting-visit with the staff, tour the locations, meet the customers or patients. These people do not understand unless it happens to them, so make them at least see what their cuts mean.
They can’t cut. They can make suggestions through their point person, MTG. Congress can cut after negotiating and being voted on by both houses of Congress. Otherwise, they are ignored but Elon loves the attention of saying he’s doing it.
Not only terrifying, but disgusting.
Healthcare is imperative for our Vets, not to mention, THEY HAVE EARNED MORE. They deserve our utmost care, in all ways, for their Service to us!!!
CBS: The biggest source of expired authorizations sits with health care for veterans, which cost $119 billion
However, Musk and Ramaswamy didn't single out veterans' health care as a place where they'd seek to cut. Instead, they listed the following areas:

But 119M out of a >100B VA healthcare budget is approx a 0.1% cut
I am assuming they are just warming up
"In 2023, spending for programs that support veterans totaled $302 billion" almost half of that is for healthcare
https://www.pgpf.org/article/spending-on-veterans-in-the-budget/
120B is entire budget.
That is eliminating healthcare for veterans
They came up with that by saying current expenditures are not authorized
Go DOG-E would love to see them keep that as their proposal
Can't wait to see the written budget house puts out
That Congress?

$119 million wouldn’t fund the VA for a day.
This site really needs an edit button.

$119 million split across 344.9 mil people comes out to 35.5 cents each.
It’s hard for people to deal with mil/bil/tril - I always divide by population to see how significant it is.
