You're following 30 people. There isn't really an algorithm. You see who you follow, and you don't follow many, so yeah, it seems dead (to you).

Do some searches for things that interest you and follow more people that post things like that.

(This came up in my discovery feed btw)

Agree w/@ravendas. Twitter's algorithmic-curated and rewards more passsive/wallflower users. If you're here for a stream to warsh over you, Bluesky can be challenging.

Adding followers - and engaging in discussions, even if just casual replies to others & not necessarily Discourse™ - helps a lot.

Also, using Feeds will help you find random people who like things you like, which lets you find more people to follow generally.

Twitter's a waiting room at a Sears Auto Parts where the televisions are always on full blast. B/c of the constant megaphoned noise you can ingest talking points and main characters and trending topics and discourse without doing any proactive and cognitive work at all. Definitely different here.
