But they rely on Twitter working properly, so your results may vary

So you can follow found accounts. That's where the app passwords are useful, so you don't have to give out your main one.

Yeah, if you go to Settings, one of the options in the Advanced section is App Passwords. There you can create an app password - a temporary password that works like your main one, but you can delete at any times. Pretty good to use for logging into 3rd party services that require login.

I guess I'm unclear why it needs a password at all. Remember Chirpity for twitter? It could get the follower without access to your account.
