He made everything worse, and it's bizarre. He's shot on people during promos before. He's had other people shoot on him and insult him. I think Hangman told a harsh truth, and Phil couldn't handle it. Fans had no clue what Hangman and Perry were talking about until Phil crashed out on both of them.

He has both a persecution complex and a hero complex, and it's toxic. He's had problems with management and/or gotten into backstage fights at virtually every company he's worked for. ROH, TNA, Mid South, AEW, WWE. But, he constantly acts like everyone is out to get him and his fanboys eat it up.

The difference is shooting needs to be correctly, all the shoot stories we’ve seen, for the most part at least, have come to light that folks knew about what was coming. You can’t shoot on someone by talking over them and then expecting it to stay professional when there’s internal issues

The EVPs immaturity forced Punk to leave and Punk’s ego probably had him tryna son them backstage. I feel like had both sides had a redo this might’ve gone a different way and Punk’s still in AEW.

I think it was doomed from day 1. The warning signs from people who knew Punk prior to AEW were there. I think the reason he got mad is because he was getting outpromoed by Hangman. If Punk doesn't react the way he did, would we even remember this segment?
