I feel the pressure to "debut" all the time really stifled my own progress. I get so lost in all the work to be done and admittedly discouraged when I have to hold back so much art and work for the sake of a debut I wind up burning out before I can finish.

Often a debut is a way to present a new model or a new chapter but it is true that a lot of Vtubers especially the "elites" are constantly debuting every single additions.

They literal pay armies of artists to make new models, new merch art and all just to debut a sell pitch.

I never have had a debut (might not ever be able to afford one honestly) but I still have big plans that I want to try and put out there one day without making it some kinda debut. I love seeing the work you've done and it always inspires me to reach the same heights one of these days!

I want people to start doing the polar opposite and start to debut only the most miniscule of things. Theyll have a new model and not mention it by proudly proclaim the new background element that is barely noticeable.

i really miss that tbh, people just DID stuff and now we all funnel crazy amounts of time and money into a single stream once in a blue moon. So much cool stuff in debuts but it's definitely stifled my creativity as an artist, everything has had to fit the mold of a rebrand or an introduction.
