I kind of don’t mind WAR either because that’s an insane test. And it just measures how good a player was. Though it’s bonkers to see—saw the other day, that Fernando never had a 6 WAR season! Crazy! The Silver Slugger….an award Joey Votto never won.

I like FRP because in MLB The Show they often mention the draft picks, which leads to some interesting finds!

For me, I never followed who were 1st rounders vs other rounders. The thing was they were drafted and played the game. SS's on the other hand are Award winners. They were selected as one of the top offensive players for their position. They produced at the MLB level. That means more to me.

I mean...Greg Maddux was a 2nd round pick. Who was 1st for the Cubs the same year? Drew Hall. It way too random for me to really remember where someone was picked.
