Randy will go down as being as influential on Texas music as Robert Earl Keen and Willie Nelson, and it's weird that he's not broadly thought of that way by the scene right now
i would probably be more inclined to fit them into the old 97s (my favorite band) category. beloved by diehard fans, especially in the region. at least one classic album. arguably the most influential within a subgenre that would collectively influence the mainstream
lol no i’m just saying i think RR has actual fans. and i’m sure CJ does have some real fans i guess but i think he’s mostly big in the way that the food they put at the front of aisles at grocery stores are “popular”
