2/6 The researchers focused on and named six of the fish that followed them: Bernie, a saddled sea bream (O. melanura) and five black sea bream (S. cantharus), Left Hump, Kasi, Alfi, Julius and Geraldine. Both species showed a similar ability to distinguish humans.

3/6 In a second experiment, both divers started wearing the same clothing, and there the fish got confused and followed both humans equally. This shows that they rely on vision to distinguish between them.
