They're not the worst newspaper in town (and never will be as long as the NY Post lives and breathes), but I'm not sure there's a newspaper in the world, maybe not in the history of the world, that has so much open contempt for the people of the city it's in.

They cover NYC with the same detached POV that infects their nat'l political coverage, to our democracy's loss

At a time of absolutely nuclear levels of corruption of NYC city governance - tons of indictments at the absolute highest levels. Just a massive criminal conspiracy - and they're largely on the sidelines. They don't have the good sourcing. They're getting pipped by reporter owned co-ops!
