At best this means dear old dad Gulol Ja Ja was a bit of a tory prick and his kids have been too busy following the player around to do their jobs, and at worst it means Wuk and Koana are spoiled princlings at heart and hate the homeless

However, Japan has a rather large poverty issue and this includes homelessness. However, the state and the culture of shame work overtime to hide this for the sake of public image. I met homeless people or saw signs of them many times, but they were always out of sight or blending in

Plainly put, homelessness is seen as something that must be hidden, a blight on the public and a threat to tourism. No wonder then that it can be played off as a joke as part of a storyline that shames people for criticizing the law
