this industry has been getting worse for years and the games keep being amazing despite that. it's like a shepard's tone, something's gotta give eventually
Oorrrrrr..
We encourage game dev teams to work on passion projects which take more time without being so public. This would encourage devs to not feel such intense pressure, possibly preventing crunch and allow for more healthy work.
(Yes I took the joke seriously, but I think I make a good point..)
Haha , let's just have the whole industry take a hiatus for a year and everybody, devs included, just plays games. It would probably be healthier for everyone
I swear I was almost like that with Pokémon. They were milking that franchise dry for 20 years. Content pretty much every single year. When they said the new Legends game wasn't coming out until next year, I legit went "Oh my God, thank you!!!"
I just decided fuck it, I'll get to the new releases when I get to them. I just played the RE4 remake a couple weeks ago because I decided to start my playthrough of the original when the remake dropped instead.
Or u could just b more picky and not buy every release play what ya have and then decide atm wither ya want more game or if ur suffering hedonic treadmill syndrome....
nintendo stop making good games!!! i need to finish earthbound but not only am i burning money on more of your games, I'M WASTING TIME NOT FINISHING EARTHBOUND
Just freeze developers in a magic time bubble so they'll magically come out with a cool new game exactly when your backlog is empty and you can play a fun new game.
It's that simple.
But depending on the person they might stay frozen for a decade...
Isn't this year the one we are talking about? I haven't heard of interesting games that released this year, except Wu-kong. But the game's origin is the thing that caught my eye rather than the gameplay.

I have too many games I need to complete.
