As a disabled person who worked downtown for years and shops/eats/whatever elsewhere in Mpls - bike lanes are NOT the issue. Not even one bit.

(Granted, I'm much more mobile than many, but even still, there are so many other issues that are much more problematic.)

so many people with mobility challenges rely on transit and shop at that target. it’s just cruel to make people walk even further away from the store to catch buses with all their shopping

and the medical facilities! like north memorial have a clinic on nicollet mall, my PCP is there. medical arts building and block e have them too

No. They generally only care about that supposed argument when they want to use it for something they don't like or imagine impacts them.

(I should mention I drove my disabled parents for 6 solid years & almost never had a parking-related problem. Loading zones & disabled permits/spaces usually did the trick. It did help I was able-bodied & could drop them off & park wherever. But transit users don’t have any helpers like me usually!)
