It would go both ways. Easier for both sides to infiltrate and spy. Often leads to extra paranoia and nightmare all around also.

As someone that people think is Canadian across America and the World, yes. Even if you could tell by talking to them that means you would have to talk to them. It’s not like a European-American or African American trying to blend in Japan or Vietnam.
