Penalties can be very costly in international games. Some of Brady's stupidity last night should've led to penalties.

The games were relatively free of the usual thuggishness, barring the Montreal "Ugh, let's send a signal" fight.

The Matthews one looked incidental but the standard worked both ways equally which is all one can ask of NHL refs

The one with the stick under Biddington's skate looked intentional.
They either call too many penalties or none. I don't miss the NHL at all.

The Matthews one he did his best to get out of the way imo, Binnington skated into him out of the crease. I was absolutely fine with that non-call, and would have been even if it had have been one of the idiot brothers.
