How can you call yourself a Star Trek fan and not at least try to follow the ideals at the core of Star Trek. I for one try to be worthy of that utopia.
I didn't like "Section 31" as a movie, because it's not, but they did what they could with what they had.
And to all of the whinny little babies that throw a tantrum:
(Except, you know, take breaks for health and whatever.)
2. I know it's a completely silly response to a real serious issue, but when you meantion Steve or he mentions you, it's like an amazing crossover, like a madman in a police box showing up on the bridge of the Enterprise.
You're in the running for the next Doctor, right?
Both people I have absolutely enormous respect for and I'm proud to know you.
Lower Decks and Strange New Worlds donβt have a bad episode imo so why doesnβt he get credit for those?
This is not acceptable behavior, not a hill to die on. The Haters need to wise up and FAST.
If you don't understand this proverb, its meaning and its application, you are by definition no fan of Star Trek.
Is that too cruel? Maybe :-)
βDie soon and sufferβ and βPerish quickly and failβ β¦ which sounds more like a Klingon would say lol
I used to dread people recognising my Trek T-shirt or wallet and ridiculing the nerdiness, now it's whether they'll set in on Kurtzman. There's no need for it.
Is that defeatist of me, or should we look it as "spread the message regardless, it will eventually get through?"
I've disagreed with you in the comments before Sean, and want to send love your way.
Sad, angry people who hide in the fandom and, instead of using the escapism to ease the burden of modern life and make friends, they use it as tool to focus their hate and misery towards others. Pathetic.
1) Watch and enjoy Star Trek.
Years back, I was bitterly disappointed by the 2004 Thunderbirds movie. Last year, the Judge Dredd story "A Better World" felt like someone had stamped on all my toys. It was bloody awful.
Both times, I chose the same reaction. I washed my hands and walked away. 1/2
But both times, walking away and saying goodbye was the proper reaction. At least for me. 2/2
