That's great, Zack! Animal Welfare standards are dire. Apart from the horrendous cruelty, this is a big driver of #BirdFlu, which the US has allowed to run out of control on 🐄 & 🐖 megafarms.

#BirdFlu can be fatal to cats, especially if they are fed contaminated raw cat-food or milk. That's a nightmare as the new administration is likely to include raw milk enthusiasts. #CatsOfBluesky

#BirdFlu currently spreading in U.S. dairy cows only needs a single mutation to readily latch on to human cells found in the upper airway: a one-step potential path to human-to-human transmission. If such a variant were to become widespread in nature, it could cause the next pandemic.

It also starts at home. Consumers are the one who drive the market. Meat isn't essential to live a healthy life. Eating less meat is a must otherwise huge concentration farm will be the only way to feed meat-hungry ppl.
