This is absolutely stunning! I'm also working on converting my half acre of "urban" yard, but my progress is much slower. You might want to check out Wood Thrush Nursery in Floyd (online shop too). They have two native water irises, Black Game Cock, and a Copper, both are absolutely beautiful.

Thank you! It took me 7 years to get rid of all the lawn. It had some non lawn sections when I started, as you can see from the pics. Wood Thrush is great!

Lucky you for all those stones! Purchased or found? I am going to hit my mother up for leaves this fall even though we get quite a few. Your end result (though we gardeners are never quite done) looks amazing. Thanks for sharing!

Purchases stones. I wanted smooth ones, so it would look more natural around moving water. I find the occasional rock in my yard, but they are rough and jagged.
